Maybe the second time, my post will publish in its entirety. Of course, I, for all of my good intentions to be efficient and organinzed, did not have a back up of my post, so I’m starting from chicken scratch again.
So, first and most importantly, 5 is racing towards a full recovery. We realized this last night when we heard the familiar sounds of him tormenting 3 and 3’s primal yells in return. It was the sweetest music to our ears. But it got old. Quickly. Very quickly. So we are now resuming the ‘everyone play nicely and remember you’re brothers’ song. I don’t think they are buying it though 🙁 Oh well, at least 5 is back and everyone is together again.
Saturday, as I posted previously, we celebrated my birthday. Beautiful flowers, Pizzaville pizza (regular and gluten-free!) and a killer gluten-free cake with four layers separated by chocolate and pink butter cream icing and the sweet happy faces of my babies (minus 17, who was working) made for a better day than I could have hoped for. A second bouquet of flowers appeared on my doorstep today – from my parents-in-law, who live in Florida. So thoughtful and so sweet. My MIL knows how much I love flowers 🙂
Oh, and since technically, this is a blog about my small town Ontario life in Keswick – a quick kudos to Petal Pushers on the Queensway. Their flower arrangements are always beautiful, long-lasting and delightful. My smile starts when they pull in my driveway and reappears every time I look at the beautiful flowers they have delivered to me. I really do love me some flowers 🙂
So, off now, to try to work some magic in the kitchen *snort* Okay, more accurately, off now to try to put something together that is 1) gluten-free 2) edible 3) does not result in lasting illness or psychosis. I all but guarantee the first two, the third is a crap-shoot.
What are you doing today – this second Monday of this New Year?
Whatever it is, do it well and do it happily – life’s not long enough to do waste time being miserable 🙂
