And, I’m back! The year hasn’t started out exactly how I envisioned, but it’s going to be smoother sailing from this point on. Right?
Yesterday was my birthday. I spent it in the pediatric ward with my 5 year-old. After 26 hours of vomiting, it was time to take him in – there was no end in sight and he didn’t have anything left in him. They hooked him up to an i.v. (very painful when severely dehydrated as veins are so hard to find) and admitted him. So I stayed. My husband came and picked up Miranda and held down the fort with the others at home. He did an amazing job juggling the kids, house and work demands. I am grateful. I couldn’t leave my 5 for anything. But, he’s home now and well on his way to a full recovery – so on with the show!
Short post today, pictures tomorrow. We’re having cake (made by husband, at the request of 5, who above all else, loves him a birthday!), and my babies bought me some primo-gossip magazines to lose myself in for a while (which is awesome!) and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday. I came home to an awesome gift of an iPhone 3 and Merrill boots from some of my parents in Montreal – which I am sooooo excited to check out!
So, I was wrong. Maybe the year didn’t start out how I envisioned it, but 5 is better and on his way to 100%, my family is together, and I get to read out star with more cellulite that I have. The year is starting out amazing! Bring on the rest of it – I can’t wait 🙂
