And I just had to share it with you because it made me furiously happy, feel incredibly appreciated, and I’ll admit in this exuberant burst of honesty, more that just a little bit snacky.
What happened, you ask? Â A gift was just delivered to my house and it was from a reader of this little blog. Â And that gift? Â Well, it was everything I asked for in a previous post, along with a lovely note, a note that I will be framing and hanging in my office as soon as it warms up closer to freezing in there.
What I won’t be doing though, is waiting to enjoy the gifts. Â There ain’t nothing like salt and vinegar chips, peanut butter cups and a Snickers bar to get this girl into all kinds of Christmas spirit.
The Keswick Blog does not have a lot of readers (I find it shocking too!), but TKB definitely has the best readers and I appreciate the time you take out of your day to read my meandering thoughts and whack-a-doodle ideas, the comments you leave, the emails you write and, most importantly (of course), the treats that you send. Â When I started this blog, I told myself that if I could help just one other person smile, laugh or feel less alone, even just once, then I would have accomplished something worthwhile. Â And now there are at least two of us, and for that I am grateful, but I mostly thank ya’ll for just ‘getting’ me.
So, before I bid you adieu for the next few days (or, knowing me, weeks), and before I dive head first into gift wrapping the frickin’ toy mountain that we have somehow accumulated and hidden from view, while I try not to smear peanut butter cups on everything, I need to wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas. Â Even if you don’t celebrate it, I’m passing the wishes along, because to me it’s a happy (stress-filled, anxiety-attack having, sugar coma suffering, no money-left for anything) time and I want everyone to have a happy time too. Â Because at the end of the day, I’m the giving and sharing sort. Â That’s just how we roll in the ‘wick.
