Remember when we were younger and Saturday nights were when we went out and partied like it was 1999?  Or maybe it was 1999. Or maybe I feel 1999.  I don’t  know.  I don’t remember doing that, but I hear others talk about it, so it must have been happening.  Maybe because I’ve been a mom my whole adult life, I opted out of Saturday night debauchery. Or maybe I was just a loser.  Hmmmm.  Stab myself in the eye with a fork?  Yes, please.

Awkward.

Moving right along, Saturday night this week was uber-productive.  While Mr. K.B. worked on getting his workroom set up and organized, I decided to pull everything out from under the basement stairs and try to purge, organize, and re-pack the space so that everything that needs to be stored under there can be.  Without risk of an avalanche crushing me when I open the door to get the birthday party tote or Easter stuff out.  It went a little something like this:

The door wouldn't even close and it drove me crazy. I hate clutter!

Just more stuff I had to find space to store - away and out of sight!

After. Everything fits. Much better.

After 3
Much, much, much better! I fought clutter and won! Frumpy, frugal and sassy housewife 1, Clutter, nil.
Love. Just love.
Love. Just love.

Next up – well, I am not sure what I’ll tackle next.  The projects waiting and/or needing to be done far outnumber my available hours, but know just one thing; I am going to clean the dance room until it sparkles as brightly as the disco ball that oversees the room and makes it so much more than just another space in just another house.

Now, it’s late and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow (it’s Sunday, donchu know?), so I’m going to sign off for now and go dream big, sparkly, shiny disco dreams.

Whether you’re a brother
or whether you’re a mother
you’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Feel the city breakin
and everybody shakin’
and were stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive.

  1. Oh. My. Word!! HAHAHAHAHAHA You have been holding back by not sharing your own private disco with us!!! Thats so awesome – especially since the disco ball still works. I’ll admit, I’m a bit jealous!

BTW: Great job on the clean out – wanna come do my closet next? Pretty please? 😉

    1. Heee heee heee! My guilty secret revealed! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the disco room. I just can’t help myself *grin*

Thanks! I actually love cleaning and organizing once I get going, but starting the project is where I usually FAIL! LOL!
