And I just had to share it with you because it made me furiously happy, feel incredibly appreciated, and I’ll admit in this exuberant burst of honesty, more that just a little bit snacky.

What happened, you ask?  A gift was just delivered to my house and it was from a reader of this little blog.  And that gift?  Well, it was everything I asked for in a previous post, along with a lovely note, a note that I will be framing and hanging in my office as soon as it warms up closer to freezing in there.

What I won’t be doing though, is waiting to enjoy the gifts.  There ain’t nothing like salt and vinegar chips, peanut butter cups and a Snickers bar to get this girl into all kinds of Christmas spirit.

The Keswick Blog does not have a lot of readers (I find it shocking too!), but TKB definitely has the best readers and I appreciate the time you take out of your day to read my meandering thoughts and whack-a-doodle ideas, the comments you leave, the emails you write and, most importantly (of course), the treats that you send.  When I started this blog, I told myself that if I could help just one other person smile, laugh or feel less alone, even just once, then I would have accomplished something worthwhile.  And now there are at least two of us, and for that I am grateful, but I mostly thank ya’ll for just ‘getting’ me.

So, before I bid you adieu for the next few days (or, knowing me, weeks), and before I dive head first into gift wrapping the frickin’ toy mountain that we have somehow accumulated and hidden from view, while I try not to smear peanut butter cups on everything, I need to wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas.  Even if you don’t celebrate it, I’m passing the wishes along, because to me it’s a happy (stress-filled, anxiety-attack having, sugar coma suffering, no money-left for anything) time and I want everyone to have a happy time too.  Because at the end of the day, I’m the giving and sharing sort.  That’s just how we roll in the ‘wick.

Inside this bag, is one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received and I appreciate it more that I can say. I'd say more but the chip crumbs are making my keyboard crunchy. Merry Christmas, Deb!
Inside this bag, is one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received and I appreciate it more that I can say. I’d say more but the potato chip crumbs are making my keyboard crunchy and since Ms. M loves to irreversibly pop the keys off any keyboard she gets her hands on, it’s in my best interest to keep these keys as quiet as possible, so as to not attract her attention.  Merry Christmas to you and yours, Deb! 🙂
